Artificial intelligence is the intelligence that machines exhibit and that differs from the natural intelligence of humans and animals. AI is a form of intelligence that is not related to emotions or consciousness. The term can also refer to any machine or technology that exhibits certain problem-solving properties and has been shown to learn when new information is obtained. The goal of AI is to enable machines to receive information and make rational decisions based on data. Unlike what we have now, machines only help us make decisions and play no role in the process other than storing and displaying the information we create. Machine learning is a related term and refers to the idea that computers learn and adapt to new data.
